The POP Project Announces Launch of New, Updated Website

Website Home PageIn anticipation of our fifth anniversary of incorporation this fall, The POP Project has officially launched a new website. The redesigned site provides users with a simpler and more comprehensive web experience.

“This redesign represents our ongoing commitment to steady and manageable growth,” says POP Project Executive Director, Jim MacKenzie. “As we continue to expand our services throughout Buncombe County and Western North Carolina, it’s imperative that the POP Project website helps us better connect with our supporters and volunteers.”

New features to the site include more information about volunteer staff and programs, on-site donation buttons, easy-to-use contact forms, and a volunteer and events calendar. The new, dynamic home page also displays a rotating banner that can feature news and alerts about upcoming events, as well as a donations progress bar and more prominently displayed drop box location links. These additions were incorporated based on user and volunteer feedback, as well as current best practices for nonprofits.

The POP Project encourages everyone to explore the new site at thepopproject.org.

POP’s new site was provided as an in-kind gift by Sarah Giavedoni, our secretary of the board and director of donations and volunteers. Professional services were supplied by Big Boom Design. Please consider supporting POP’s annual internet and social media efforts and expenses by becoming a recurring donor at $20/month.
