POP’s “Rethink Ink” Book Sale and Fundraiser!

Book collectors rejoice!
The POP Project is holding the “Rethink Ink” Book Sale and Fundraiser on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Special thanks to the West Asheville Presbyterian Church for allowing us to hold the fundraiser there (690 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806).

Paper and ink books are back in style. We invite everyone to drop in to the “Rethink Ink” event and pick books to fill out their personal collections. Over 1,000 books of all genres and reading levels will be available, from children’s books and early readers to adult fiction, nonfiction, religious, and self help books. Prices start at $1, and all books will be offered at reasonable rates.

Books for the event were provided by an anonymous donor who requested that the books be allocated specifically for fundraising purposes. We would like to send her a very special thank you for all the support!

All proceeds from the “Rethink Ink” Book Sale and Fundraiser will go to support our infrastructure and capacity to donate books across new areas of Western North Carolina and beyond. Specifically, we intend to use the funds for storage costs and to supplement shipping and gas costs associated with delivering books to their new homes. All funds exceeding those needs will go to creating new volunteer programs and open lending libraries.

Have too many books in the house already? No problem. Book donations will also be accepted during the event. We will be giving generous discounts to anyone who brings in books for donation on any new books they wish to purchase.
