Looking for a Few Good Readers! – “Paint the Town REaD” 2012

Do you love books?
Do you think books should be available to everyone?
Do you have a half hour to spend reading?

The POP Project is looking for readers to participate in our “Paint the Town REaD” fundraiser and read-a-thon on October 2nd.

Spend 22 minutes reading from your favorite banned or challenged books at Vance Monument in downtown Asheville on Tuesday, October 2 from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. With your help, we plan to read around 70,000 words from banned text throughout the day.

Registration is Now Open!
Download the registration form here or visit our Facebook event to show your support.
There is a “Paint the Town REaD” participation fee of $25. All proceeds go to support local literacy efforts.
Registration form and fees are due by Friday, September 14. All participants will receive further directions after registration.

Contact POP today to learn more information about Banned Book Week and all the ways in which you can participate.
