Eat a Sandwich, Buy a Book, Provide Books for Others in Need

The POP Project gives $10 in books for every $1 in our budget. These books go to low-income schools, shelters, personal development programs, and other places in Buncombe and surrounding counties with people in need.

At the POP Project, we believe that literacy is the key to facing the challenges of today and of the future. And literacy starts first and foremost with an access to quality books.

You can help POP improve the lives of people in our community. A few minutes of your time, and a few dollars, can make a world of difference to local men, women, and children in need. Give back this month through one (or both!) of these fundraisers.

Big Hug Super Saturday at Loretta’s Cafe – Saturday, June 20

This Saturday, the POP Project is teaming up with Loretta’s Cafe in downtown Asheville for their giving event: Big Hug Super Saturday. Come out, enjoy an amazing sandwich, and know that your purchase is helping a local cause meet our mission. POP will receive 10% of the restaurant’s sales from 11 AM to 5 PM.

Our donations director, Sarah, will be on hand to distribute information, answer questions, and share the Heartbreaker sandwich alongside you. We welcome you to come out for lunch and bring a friend (or the whole family!). Don’t forget – the more lunches Loretta’s sells on June 20, the more money POP receives!
