We’re Ready for Holiday Giving!

holiday_givingThe POP Project is always available, even over the holiday season. We are here, and we’re here to help. We are always collecting books and have plenty of books to give, even through the “slow” winter months.

Want to organize a holiday book drive at your office?

Holiday book drives are a great way to bring the office into the holiday spirit. Know that you and your coworkers are making a difference in the lives of local people within our community by collecting books that can be delivered directly to those in need. You can even create a theme, and do a drive for a specific genre or reading level of books. Contact us today to find out where the greatest needs are in your area.

Know a great organization that could use some holiday cheer in the form of books?

Books make great holiday gifts, don’t you agree? We would love for every person with a low access to books to have a few waiting for them under their tree. If you know of any schools, programs, or organizations in Buncombe County, or across WNC, that would benefit from ANY books, of any genre or reading level, please let us know. It is POP’s mission to help our books find homes with people and organizations in need.

Need to clean out that basement before the first of the year?

The POP Project is a 501(c)3 organization. That means your donations may be tax deductible! Get those donations in by December 31 to apply them to your 2013 tax returns. As you sort through those dusty boxes, please keep the following in mind: the POP Project accepts books of all genres and reading levels, but cannot accept encyclopedia sets and outdated textbooks. We also cannot in good conscience deliver books with damage from fire, water, or mildew. We are ALWAYS in need of Spanish-language books of all kinds.
