Tis the Season … to Curl up with a Good Book

Categories:

196970Twas the month of December, and all through the city
Everyone was out shopping, buying presents, and keeping busy.
All the windows were hung with special buys and fake snow,
Yet despite all the merriment, I just couldn’t go.

During this hectic and festive time of the year,
Instead of going out, I prefer to keep a good book near.
Christmas is about more than gifts and a feast –
Unless it’s made of Who pudding and rare Who roast beast.

5326There are many great Christmas books to read and adore.
Some are listed here, but we hope you’ll share many more.
Dickens presents a spirit-filled “Christmas Carol,”
While Grisham’s “Skipping Christmas” touts mayhem and peril.

Santa Claus makes appearances in many a book,
“The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus” is a good look.
Then there’s “The Night Before Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red,”
But “The Polar Express” is what I read most before bed.

113946The Grinch tries to steal Christmas, nutcrackers dance in my head,
And before I know it, all my Christmas books have been read.
So it seems I must now venture out to the store,
And this year purchase a few holiday books more.

But what titles should I choose if I already have these?
Are there a few that you could recommend, please?
Something classic, something bold, something to treasure for years –
Send us your suggestions, or please post them here!
