The POP Project is not currently operating with a dedicated indoor storage and volunteer space. We are on the hunt for a new space that will allow us to spread out, welcome daily volunteers, and take in loads of new book donations.
Find out the current state of our operations for each of our programs below.
Book Donations
As a volunteer-led nonprofit, POP’s resources are limited, and that includes our storage space. We regret that we are NOT able to accept any book donations at this time.
Consider giving to these alternate donation locations:
- Books for Good, Fletcher: booksforgoodinc.com
- Anna’s Books, Haywood County: annasbookswnc.com
Book Deliveries
POP has books to give! We are actively interested in packing and delivering books to organizations in need. Click here to learn more about deliveries of adult-level books, children’s books, and more.
Volunteer Opportunities
We CANNOT currently accommodate daily volunteers or groups. However, if you would like to work with POP on a regular and ongoing basis, please reach out. Individual remote volunteer opportunities are available. Click here for more info, or contact Sarah Giavedoni, our volunteer director, for details: aPOPproject@gmail.com.
Little Free Libraries
POP manages several Little Free Libraries around Buncombe County. If you see a LFL in need of books, please let us know.
Fundraising Opportunities
The POP Project is 100% volunteer driven and our daily operations are 100% privately funded. Every dollar you donate is directed to our programmatic and administrative needs. And every dollar translates into $10+ in FREE books delivered back out into the community. Please give today.
Other Ways to Support POP
There are plenty of ways to support POP and our mission to get books to all in need that don’t involve opening a wallet or giving your time. Check them out.
