This year for National Volunteer Week, we would like to send a very big THANK YOU to all our supporters for helping POP meet our mission with minimal resources. POP is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit, so 100% of our success is attributed to our volunteers. Because of your donations of time, books, service, and funds, more people in our community have books in their homes or at agencies where they receive services.
The POP Project delivers free books to men, women, and children in Asheville and throughout Buncombe County and Western North Carolina. Last year, our volunteers delivered over 7,500 books valued at nearly $38,000 to 45 locations, including schools, children’s programs, detention centers, community nonprofits, and little libraries.

With the help of our volunteers, the POP Project will continue to grow and evolve without losing sight of our main goal: to make sure no book goes without a home, goes unread, or sits on a shelf and collects dust, and that all of the books we are entrusted with are used for constructive, personal expansion.
