This summer, the POP Project caught the eye of Laura Belle Gonzalez, Elite American Petite Miss North Carolina 2023! As part of her advocacy work, Laura Belle hosted an online fundraiser for POP, which ran from June 15–August 1. She met her goal of raising $200 through her Facebook page!
I love reading, and I love sharing books! Please help me raise funds for one of my favorite nonprofits, The POP Project. All they do is provide free books to people who need them, including many kids, by delivering them to low-income communities, head start programs, food pantries, and more. Access to books is especially important over school breaks!

POP received the funds raised and purchased 24 brand new books for UNETE, a local grassroots group that works with the Latinx community across four counties. These English, Spanish, and dual-language books will go home with kids (and parents!) participating in their reading programs.
