8 Volunteers Join POP for MLK’s Day of Service

For Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Caring 2013, the POP Project and our volunteer team put together a sizable book donation for Haywood Street Congregation, an inclusive worship center in downtown Asheville. Our great team of volunteers worked hard sorting, counting, and packaging boxes of books for the congregation’s community library.

Thanks to all our great volunteers! With such a big team, we finished the project in record time!

Interested in volunteering for a future Homeward Books book sorting event? Our February team is already filled, but check out our page on Hands On for future opportunities.
