More Ways to Support

SHARE THE LOVE OF READING

Tell your friends and coworkers about the POP Project and what we do. Help spread the word! Encourage your friends and family to volunteer and/or donate. Send us information about local schools, programs, or organizations that would benefit from books of any genre or reading level. Invite us to come speak at your club, congregation, or school.

It is POP’s mission to help our books find homes with people and organizations in need. Together, we can all make a difference to our community.

SUGGEST NEW DONATION LOCATIONS

The POP Project currently has a surplus of adult fiction and nonfiction, including history, sociology, religion and spirituality, self help, health and wellness, home and garden, and more. Our mission is to find new homes for these books. Please contact us if you know of any agencies or organizations in Asheville, Buncombe County, or Western North Carolina that would benefit from greater access to books.

ORGANIZE A BOOK DRIVE FOR POP

Are you interested in organizing a book drive to benefit the POP Project? POP is always in need of books for children and youth, ages 0–18. We accept gently used books from board books to early readers to YA fiction and literature.

To organize a book drive for POP, please contact us today.

HOST A DROP BOX

The POP Project is always looking for new locations willing to host one of our drop boxes. We ask for a minimum 6-month commitment, and that boxes be placed in public areas that are easily accessible. In return, we will periodically advertise your business/organization as a drop box location on our social media feed, newsletter, and/or blog.

To host a drop box, please contact us today.

Every great mission should be supported by a handful of fun, educational, and purposeful events. Each year, the POP Project tries to organize programs around several national literacy dates. Help POP use these events to make a greater impact in our community by making a targeted contribution today. Our favorite programs to plan are:

  • Rethink Ink Book Sale and Fundraiser – Summer
  • Banned Books Week – Last week of September
  • Days of Impact – October

Contact us today to discuss sponsorship opportunities in more detail.

CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS

We love local businesses, and we value the opportunity to work directly with yours! Contact us today to discuss how you would like to support POP through a corporate sponsorship.
